A Midsummer Note
A letter to you all about the past fixed t-square greatly ramping up pressure in my life (in a mostly joyful way!).
Dear All,
I’m writing to say that I will be taking a hiatus from long-format posting for the next few weeks (with a heavy heart!). I hope to continue putting out some briefer transmissions on Instagram, but the long and wending lyric-essays that have found their home here will need to be put on ice. I’m so sorry about that.
I am hoping to be back in the blogging saddle again when things have hopefully calmed down later in August. I’m in the midst of a very intense, and involved recruitment process for what would be a fabulous (and well-paid) astrology job. I am also under pressure to complete my thesis revisions by next month, and have a residential move looming too.
I’m flirting with burn out everyday (hello Mars-Leo in my third house of the mind), and I’m predictably under extreme mental pressure at the moment. Getting my second house in order is also crucial right now, as I’m burning through my savings. Please send me good energy about this job!
As Saturn opposes my natal Mars, I know I need to streamline to get through the next few weeks. Nevertheless, I feel like I’m letting my paid subscribers down. I would of course understand if you want to drop the subscription. I do hope to make it up you all when I return later this summer, but I understand if this is too long to wait.
In any case, I just want to thank you for your generous support of my writing over the past months. For those who chose the yearly subscription package, feel free to reach out about a refund if this feels like too long a hiatus from posting. We will figure something out.
The Mercury Papers is my baby, and I will absolutely be back on my bullshit in a few weeks, but this is just one of those seasons in life when everything is culminating at once (my solar return on the 24th is a full moon phase, to boot!). That said, do check my Instagram for some more fleeting smoke-rings on the cosmic weather. (And my usual chaotic DJing via theorygram memes).
Finally, I hope you’re all feeling a heady rebirthing of desire and passion, wherever the Mars-Venus conjunction has sent its meteor streaking through your chart. Sending much love and gratitude to you all! I’ll keep you posted as to when I’ll be able to resume my usual schedule of posting. Thank you again so much for your patience.
The sudden velocity of everything unfolding in my life, after such an endless winter, feels a bit like my favorite Madonna song… Interestingly, this single was released during another Jupiter in Pisces transit in 1998 (and Mercury cazimi)!
Oh, and another all time fave by Prefab Sprout. Happy Languid Lion Summer!
xoxo, S
